Your privacy is non-negotiable. Diary Plus Plus is designed as a local-first application. We do not have servers to store your journal entries, photos, or moods. Everything stays on your device or your personal Google Drive.
2. Data Handling & Permissions
Journal Entries & Photos: All your writings and images are stored locally on your device. We cannot read or access them.
Camera Permission: Used exclusively for the "Intruder Selfie" feature and to take photos for your entries. These images are never sent to us.
Biometric/Lock Data: We use system-level encryption (Fingerprint/PIN). Your actual biometric data is never accessible by the app.
3. Analytics & Advertisements
To keep the app free and functional, we use trusted third-party services:
Google AdMob: To show relevant ads.
Firebase Analytics: To see which features are used most (e.g., "Do people prefer the calendar view?"). This data is anonymous and does not identify you.
4. Google Drive Sync
If you choose to use the Backup feature, the app connects directly to your private Google Drive. We do not have access to your Google password or any files outside the specific backup folder created by the app.
